What do you expect your business web site to do for you, anyway? A reasonable expectation in this area will depend, in large part, on what kind of business you run. Is your product or service the kind of business that can actually be "conducted online"...or are you simply an offline ("brick and mortar") business that needs an online presence?
For now, let's assume that you're the latter. In that case, let's style your web site as if it were a "business brochure". The brochure was the "old school" way of letting folks know about your products and services. In one compact, convenient hand-held printed format, businesses would show you a picture of their storefront, offer a description of their products and services, share a bit about their company history and their current mission statement, pass along some testimonials from satisfied customers, introduce you to key personnel and provide location/contact information. In some cases, they would also address the issue of prices.
